About the Course
Are you trying to use BIM models for maintenance and operations, but struggling with how to prepare the model and organize the MEP data to be easily migrated to an asset management application?
This session covers the importance of identifying which assets are important in operations and management, along with a standardized list of attributes that will need to be captured during construction. You’ll learn the value of having an organized hierarchy of MEP objects ready to be integrated with asset management and walk through the process of organizing all building MEP assets (equipment, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electronics, and more) by categories, types, and groups. Additionally, you’ll get to know some different Asset Management applications that interact with Revit in a bi-directional way.
It's critical to organize MEP assets at the design & construction phases when integrating a BIM model for maintenance and operations, and after attending this session, you’ll be able to:
Minimize the level of effort required to organize MEP objects for an asset management application
Have a list of standardized attributes to be assigned to MEP objects
Define a code to identify asset groups based on function so they get assigned properly
So join this session and make your life easier when using BIM models for maintenance and operations!
